There’s not a whole lot of good content specific to positioning for services firms, but you can take scraps of wisdom from many of the resources below.
- April Dunford - newsletter, books & consulting. Primarily for B2B SaaS but spillover for tech services as well (if you run a productized service).
- Jonathan Stark - newsletter & blog for Solo Consultants, but lots of applications to tech services.
- $100M Offers - book by Alex Hormozi. This is for services businesses in general, but has several frameworks that apply to tech services, particularly for lead gen campaigns. Also relevant for Pricing & Packaging.
- Anthony Pierri - Linkedin posts. Again, B2B SaaS but highly relevant to tech services. Especially for companies doing >$1M in annualized revenue.
- Vixul - Accelerator and blogs. They exist specifically for tech services so 100% relevant. Aater’s insights on positioning are top-notch.
- Hinge Marketing - Blog. Hinge caters Professional Services Firms in general but they have excellent material on marketing & positioning.
- The Path to Product-Market Fit- Newsletter. Rob Snyder’s philosophical ramblings are some of the most precise materials on finding demand and successfully leveraging it. (Credits to @Likert10 for the mention).
